First emission-free guided drilling by Allinq
14 February 2025
No noise, no CO2 emissions: last week, SCT, subsidiary of Allinq, had a first! They successfully carried out a completely emission-free directional drilling operation for the first time. The location: Lorentz II in Harderwijk, close to our premises on the Fahrenheitstraat. The nanodrill, controlled by an electric mini-crane, runs entirely on electricity – even the bentonite ‘factory’ works electrically. A quiet, clean and efficient way of drilling.

With these innovative machines, Allinq is not only taking a great step towards sustainability, but the organisation also remains deployable for work in municipalities for clients of Allinq. There are now more than 30 municipalities where only emission-free work is allowed. Main foreman Bert Prophitius explains: ‘Subcontractors often dig the trench from side to side first and then start drilling. With the nanodrill, we can drill in a more targeted and precise way, without loss of precision or unnecessary excavation. The nanodrill is perfect for short drillings from 5 to 40 metres. Another advantage: once you have located the pipe, you can bring it up at perpendicular angles to easily fix the casing pipe.’
And all that without any noise pollution! Where normally mini excavators vibrate on fuel, this electric mini crane is completely silent. Ideal for use on short distances and in inner cities.
An innovative step forward
With the same vigour and precision, this first emission-free drilling by Allinq went flawlessly. And this is just the beginning! Together, we are working towards an organisation with less environmental impact and our goal of 60% less CO2 emissions by 2030.
